Press interview with artist Robert Blehert
about his SPORTS ART
career
(a fun spoof on sports interviews)
REPORTER: Do you feel you can be one of the
greatest artists of all time?
BLEHERT: I don't really worry about records, I just
try to do the best work I can and take "em" one
painting at a time.
REPORTER: People are raving about your artwork, how
does that make you feel?
BLEHERT: I just want to thank my brushes, my
canvases, the paint producers, my teacher, my parents, all the
people who have bought my work, and everyone who looks at my
paintings. I couldn't have done it without them.
REPORTER: People have said that your last painting
was a flop, how do you deal with that?
BLEHERT: The last painting is already in the past
for me. I just need to look at what can be done better and think
about the next one.
REPORTER: Will you go on to teaching after you
retire from painting?
BLEHERT: I've been asked that a lot, I know
it'll be hard to walk away from the easel, but there's a lot of
time to think about that. Right now I'm just focusing on
the next painting.
