Land of Dreams
Highly textured acrylic on canvas, 48 by 60 inches. This painting was done as a "floral
essence painting, one of my recent pieces which attempt to capture the essence of a particular woman.

I've done so far and was unveiled for the client at her Christmas party. This one is an artist favorite,
and if the "Wow's", "Oohs", and "Ahhs" at the unveiling mean anything, it was also popular with
other people. When executing a painting like this I am thinking
about the particular woman, and letting the colors and composition run quite freely until to me it captures
that woman's essence, or spirit if you will. It was after completion that the title suddenly came to mind.
It seems to me to give the feeling of a land where anything is possible. When I think of this particular
lady, I also get that feeling about her potential. Click
